Islamabad, February 28, 2026: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Saturday issued the daytime temperature forecast for Islamabad for Sunday, March 1, 2026, predicting dry weather with temperatures ranging between 27°C and 29°C.

• Sunday (March 1): Dry weather continues, with daytime temperatures likely to stay between 27°C and 29°C.

National Weather Situation

According to the PMD, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan, ensuring mainly dry weather across the country.

• Saturday: Most regions are expected to remain dry, with cold temperatures in hilly areas. Partly cloudy conditions may occur in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

• Sunday: Dry weather will persist in plains, while hilly areas remain cold during morning and night hours. Daytime temperatures in plains are expected to be above normal.

Recent Weather Observations

Over the past 24 hours, most parts of Pakistan experienced dry conditions, with cold temperatures in hilly regions during mornings and nights. The lowest minimum temperatures recorded included:

• Leh: -6°C

• Astore, Kalam, Gupis, Skardu: 1°C

• Rawalakot, Malam Jabba, Dir: 2°C

The PMD advises citizens to stay updated with weather alerts, especially in hilly regions where temperatures remain low during mornings and nights.
