Islamabad residents to begin week with cold but sunny weather

Islamabad – February 2, 2025 – Residents of Islamabad will kick off the new week with crisp, sunny weather on Monday, February 3, 2025, as temperatures remain low but skies stay clear.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the minimum temperature in Islamabad is expected to range between 1°C and 3°C, making for a cold but pleasant day.

The PMD has forecast that Islamabad and its surrounding areas will experience cold and dry conditions, with no significant chances of precipitation. The prevailing continental air mass over much of the country is expected to keep Islamabad’s weather stable. However, a westerly wave is predicted to enter western parts of the country starting tomorrow, which could bring changes in weather patterns in the coming days.

Weather Forecast for Sunday and Monday

For Sunday, Islamabad and most plain areas of Pakistan will continue to experience cold and dry weather. However, isolated areas in Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may see light rain and snowfall over the hills during the evening or nighttime hours. Foggy conditions are also likely in parts of northeast Punjab at night.

On Monday, Islamabad will again see clear skies with cold and dry weather prevailing. The PMD predicts that certain parts of northwest Balochistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may receive light rain or snowfall with gusty winds during the evening or night. Fog will likely persist in northeast Punjab during the early morning hours.
