Islamabad weather: Hazy sunshine to continue before thunderstorms

Islamabad will remain warm and hazy through Monday before thunderstorms and a higher chance of rain arrive on Tuesday.

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad is expected to experience hazy sunshine and warm conditions over the next two days, before the weather becomes more unsettled on Tuesday with thunderstorms possible in some areas.

According to AccuWeather, Sunday, October 4, will remain mostly warm and hazy, with temperatures reaching 33°C and a low of 23°C. The probability of precipitation is just 1 per cent.

The RealFeel temperature could climb to 36°C, while south-southeasterly winds are expected at around 7 km/h.

On Monday, October 5, temperatures are forecast to remain steady at 33°C, with the overnight low rising slightly to 24°C. Hazy sunshine is expected throughout the day, with only a 2 per cent chance of precipitation.

The RealFeel temperature could again reach 36°C, while southeasterly winds may strengthen to 9 km/h.

A noticeable change is forecast for Tuesday, October 6, when the temperature is expected to reach 31°C, with a minimum of 22°C.

AccuWeather puts the chance of precipitation at 55 per cent, with hazy sunshine and a strong thunderstorm possible in some areas during the afternoon.

Around 1.5 hours of precipitation and rainfall are forecast for Tuesday. Winds are expected from the east-southeast at 11 km/h, while the maximum UV index will remain moderate at 5.0.

Residents should therefore expect generally warm and hazy conditions through Monday, followed by a greater chance of rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday.
