Islamabad, July 26, 2025 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast weather changes in Islamabad for Sunday, July 27, 2025, with a possibility of rain and thunder.
While the day is expected to remain hot and humid, isolated areas in and around Islamabad may experience rain-wind/thundershowers during the evening or night, with a 45% chance of precipitation.
For Saturday night, PMD predicts partly cloudy weather with chances of scattered showers and wind-thunder activity in Islamabad and nearby areas. The probability of rainfall tonight stands at 35%.
At the national level, a seasonal low-pressure system is situated over northeastern Balochistan. Additionally, moist air from the Arabian Sea is reaching the eastern and southern regions, while a westerly wave affects the northern areas of the country.
On Saturday, most of the country is experiencing mainly hot and humid weather. However, some places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, East Punjab, and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to see scattered thundershowers.
For Sunday, similar weather conditions will continue across much of Pakistan. However, areas like Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, southeastern Sindh, and the Islamabad region may witness evening rain or thunderstorms.
In the past 24 hours, rainfall occurred in parts of Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Elsewhere, the weather remained hot and humid.
Rainfall reports: Malam Jabba received 29mm, Murree 20mm, and Garhi Dopatta 12mm among others.
The highest recorded temperature today was 45°C in Dalbandin, followed by 44°C in Nokkundi and Dadu.
Residents of Islamabad are advised to stay prepared for sudden weather changes, especially during evening hours.
