JAC Motors Pakistan has officially introduced the all-new JAC T9 Frison 2X, a two-wheel-drive variant of its popular T9 Hunter pickup truck.
The latest addition aims to make the brand’s flagship pickup more accessible and urban-friendly while maintaining the same premium design and features that made the 4×4 model a favorite among enthusiasts.
The JAC T9 Frison 2X mirrors the design language, comfort, and technology of the T9 Hunter but swaps the 4×4 drivetrain for a rear-wheel drive (4×2) system.
This change caters specifically to customers who primarily drive on city roads and highways rather than off-road terrains, making the pickup more practical for everyday use and improving overall fuel efficiency.
Price and Booking Details
The JAC T9 Frison 2X has been priced at Rs 8,775,000 (ex-factory), positioning it as a more affordable alternative to the 4×4 variant without sacrificing features.
Bookings are now open across Ghandhara dealerships in Pakistan, with a booking amount of Rs 2.3 million.
What’s Different from the T9 Hunter
While the new variant retains most of the mechanical and visual appeal of the Hunter, it introduces subtle design tweaks for distinction.
The front grille has been redesigned to suit an urban aesthetic, while the pickup also features new 18-inch dual-spoke alloy wheels that give it a modern and sporty edge.
The main functional change lies in the drivetrain — the Frison 2X features a rear-wheel drive (4×2) setup instead of the Hunter’s 4×4 system.
This makes it a more city-centric model, ideal for professionals and families looking for a robust yet comfortable pickup that doesn’t require off-road capabilities.

Under the hood, the T9 Frison 2X packs the same 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine, producing 168 horsepower and 410 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
