Jack Antonoff releases two new soundtracks for Honey Don’t!

Entertainment World

Jack Antonoff has thrilled fans with the surprise release of two original soundtracks for Ethan Coen’s dark comedy film Honey Don’t!. The project marks a milestone for the 11-time Grammy-winning artist, as it is the first time he has composed music for a feature starring his wife, Margaret Qualley. The cast also includes Aubrey Plaza and Chris Evans.

The soundtracks were launched through Antonoff’s own Shadow Of The City label in collaboration with Dirty Hit, showcasing his evolving versatility as a producer and composer. Known for his acclaimed work with Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, and Lorde, Antonoff has now ventured into cinematic scoring, blending signature pop elements with dramatic undertones.

The music features a unique mix of compositions, including a Carter Burwell score and tracks produced by Antonoff himself. Highlights include a new recording by Brittany Howard, a cast performance by Qualley, Plaza, and Talia Ryder, and original songs by Lace Manhattan and Dixie Normus—the musical alter egos of Qualley and Ryder.

Adding nostalgic depth, the album includes Howard’s cover of The Animals’ 1965 classic We Gotta Get Out of This Place, inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2011. Notable Antonoff-produced tracks include ODDWADD, Girl, and In the Sun She Lies.

Qualley and Antonoff, who married in August 2023, bring personal chemistry to the project, which premiered in U.S. and Canadian theaters on August 22, 2025.
