Omoda & Jaecoo has announced a new customer-focused upgrade for owners of the Jaecoo J7, introducing a free Battery Protection Shield for both new and existing vehicles.
According to the company, all Jaecoo J7 SHS units dispatched from the factory from May 15, 2026 onwards are now equipped with the updated protective component as standard.
Meanwhile, customers who already own the hybrid SUV will also receive the shield installation completely free of cost through the brand’s authorized dealership network across Pakistan.
The latest move comes as part of the company’s efforts to improve the ownership experience and respond to customer feedback regarding vehicle protection on local road conditions.
What Is the Battery Protection Shield?
The Battery Protection Shield is an underbody protective cover designed to safeguard important hybrid components located beneath the vehicle.
These include battery wiring, electrical connectors, and other sensitive lower-side parts that may be exposed to damage from road debris, stones, mud, or uneven terrain.
For hybrid vehicle owners in Pakistan, this upgrade could prove highly useful, especially for drivers who frequently travel on damaged urban roads, rural routes, or northern region tracks where loose gravel and rough surfaces are common.
As hybrid and electrified vehicles continue gaining popularity in Pakistan, protection for critical underbody components is becoming an increasingly important factor for long-term reliability and maintenance.
Company Statement
In its official statement, Omoda & Jaecoo Pakistan emphasized that customer satisfaction remains a key priority for the brand.
The company stated that the updated protective shield was introduced after ongoing customer feedback and internal evaluations aimed at enhancing the ownership experience of the Jaecoo J7 SHS.
The automaker further confirmed that dealership teams will soon contact existing customers regarding appointment schedules and installation details for the free upgrade.
Growing Focus on After-Sales Support
The announcement also highlights the growing competition among new automotive brands entering Pakistan’s hybrid and electric vehicle segment.
Companies are now placing stronger emphasis not only on vehicle features but also on after-sales service, customer care, and long-term ownership benefits.
With the Jaecoo J7 already attracting attention in Pakistan’s hybrid SUV category, the free battery protection upgrade may further strengthen customer confidence in the brand.
