Lahore, October 21, 2025 — Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital operator, has joined forces with DynaSys Networks to launch the country’s first city-wide Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN) in Lahore. This marks a major step toward building a Smart City ecosystem and advancing Pakistan’s digital transformation.

The launch of the LoRaWAN network represents a major milestone in the nation’s connectivity landscape. Unlike conventional communication networks, LoRaWAN technology supports large-scale, power-efficient deployments, enabling seamless Internet of Things (IoT) integration across multiple sectors. From smart agriculture and energy management to environmental monitoring and industrial automation, the possibilities are limitless.

“This is a defining moment in our mission to create a truly digital Pakistan,” said Chaudhary Shahzad Rasheed, President of Enterprise Solutions at Jazz. “With the launch of LoRaWAN, we’re unlocking the immense potential of IoT — driving innovation, efficiency, and real-time data accessibility for businesses and communities alike.”

Ali Akhtar, Founder and CEO of DynaSys Networks, emphasized that the collaboration blends Jazz’s nationwide reach with DynaSys’s IoT expertise. “Together, we are creating a powerful platform for a smarter, more connected Pakistan. We invite enterprises, institutions, and government organizations to join us in leveraging this technology for sustainable growth,” he said.

Fully compliant with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s (PTA) IoT licensing framework, the network infrastructure is hosted locally to ensure data security, privacy, and sovereignty. This localized setup strengthens data integrity while fostering a secure and future-ready digital ecosystem.

With nationwide expansion already in progress, the Jazz–DynaSys LoRaWAN initiative is set to reshape industries, enhance urban efficiency, and redefine how communities connect — heralding a new era of smart cities in Pakistan.
