Islamabad, August 16, 2025 – Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital operator, has announced free on-net and PTCL calls for its subscribers living in the flood-hit districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The initiative is designed to ensure that families, emergency responders, and relief agencies remain connected during this period of widespread devastation.
Heavy monsoon rains and flash floods have caused severe damage in districts such as Buner, Swat, Shangla, Dir, and Chitral, sweeping away roads, bridges, homes, and other vital infrastructure. Recognizing that communication is a lifeline in emergencies, Jazz has stepped forward to remove call charges so that communities can focus on safety and recovery rather than worrying about affordability.
“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the floods. Connectivity is essential in times of crisis, and Jazz is fully committed to keeping families and responders connected when it matters the most,” said Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz.
The Government of Pakistan has also introduced the 911 unified emergency helpline (PEHL), giving citizens across the country free-of-charge access to emergency assistance.
This support comes on the back of Jazz’s earlier collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to launch a mobile-enabled Early Warning System (EWS). The current crisis demonstrates how technology-driven preparedness measures, combined with emergency connectivity, can save lives.
By leveraging its nationwide network and strategic partnerships, Jazz continues to provide not only immediate relief but also long-term resilience for communities impacted by natural disasters.
