Islamabad, March 19, 2026 – Jazz, a leading digital operator under JazzWorld, has demonstrated full readiness to roll out its 5G network in Pakistan, ahead of the formal award of Next Generation Mobile Services (NGMS)/5G licenses.

During a visit to Jazz headquarters in Islamabad, a delegation from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) was briefed on the company’s 5G capabilities and infrastructure preparedness. The Jazz team highlighted the network’s ability to deliver high-speed, next-generation connectivity, showcasing improved performance, ultra-low latency, and enhanced user experience.

PTA officials also participated in live 5G testing at selected locations in Islamabad, where they experienced real-time speeds and responsiveness, demonstrating the potential of the upcoming technology in practical scenarios.

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Zaheer Mehdi, Group Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs at JazzWorld, said the company’s recent spectrum acquisition and continuous investment in network infrastructure have positioned it to deliver a high-quality 5G experience from day one. He emphasized that the rollout will focus on creating value while expanding connectivity to underserved populations.

The development follows Pakistan’s latest spectrum auction, where Jazz secured spectrum across key bands, including 700 MHz, 2300 MHz, 2600 MHz, and 3500 MHz. This has significantly expanded its total spectrum holdings, enabling broader coverage and higher capacity.

Industry experts believe Jazz’s strong spectrum position and infrastructure readiness will play a crucial role in accelerating Pakistan’s transition into the 5G era, boosting digital innovation and economic growth.
