JazzWorld has inducted 100 young professionals into its AI Associate Programme 2026 as the company steps up efforts to become an AI-native organisation.

The associates were selected through a nationwide recruitment process and will work on real-world business challenges while helping JazzWorld strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities across the organisation.

The year-long programme will provide participants with practical experience in areas including fintech, cybersecurity, data science, software development and digital platforms.

During the programme, the associates will identify opportunities for AI applications, improve workplace productivity and develop solutions to business challenges through hands-on assignments, structured learning and mentorship.

VEON CEO highlights importance of AI talent

Kaan Terzioglu, Group CEO of VEON, said organisations that succeed in the AI era would need to combine advanced technology with exceptional human talent.

“Pakistan’s young population represents an extraordinary opportunity, and these 100 associates are here not simply to learn about AI, but to apply it and build digital solutions that improve millions of lives,” he said.

Terzioglu added that developing AI talent was fundamental to VEON’s ambition to build AI-native digital operators across its markets.

JazzWorld targets AI-first transformation

Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of JazzWorld, said the company’s objective was to move from being AI-enabled to AI-first and ultimately AI-native, with artificial intelligence becoming an integral part of how it operates, competes and develops products.

He said the transformation depended not only on technology but also on people.

“By reskilling our workforce and bringing in young talent to apply AI to real problems, we want to develop leaders who can drive change across JazzWorld and help shape Pakistan’s digital future,” Ibrahim said.

Programme focuses on practical AI experience

Tazeen Shahid, Chief People Officer at JazzWorld, said the company selected the associates based not only on their qualifications but also on their curiosity, adaptability and willingness to continue learning.

She said JazzWorld’s responsibility was now to provide participants with meaningful assignments, strong mentorship and opportunities to learn through practical experience.

The AI Associate Programme forms part of JazzWorld’s broader artificial intelligence transformation, alongside efforts to strengthen AI capabilities among its existing workforce.

The company said its focus was to make AI increasingly central to the way teams work, solve problems and develop products and services for millions of customers.

The initiative is also aimed at developing a pool of young professionals capable of contributing to Pakistan’s growing digital economy and supporting the country’s transition towards an AI-driven technology landscape.
