Islamabad, March 4, 2026 – JazzWorld, Pakistan’s leading integrated digital ServiceCo, has entered into a strategic partnership with the GSMA’s Mobile for Development Foundation to co-fund digital innovation projects in Pakistan under the GSMA Innovation Fund.
The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in Barcelona during Mobile World Congress. The signing ceremony was attended by Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of JazzWorld, and John Giusti, Chief Regulatory Officer of GSMA and President of the GSMA Foundation.
JazzWorld to Co-Fund Pakistani Startups in 2026
Under the MoU, JazzWorld will collaborate with the GSMA Innovation Fund to co-finance Pakistani startups selected as grantees in the Fund’s 2026 funding rounds. The initiative aims to accelerate digital innovation in Pakistan by providing financial backing and strategic support to high-potential ventures.
Beyond direct funding, JazzWorld may also extend in-kind support to selected startups, including ecosystem visibility, market access, and capacity-building initiatives to help projects scale sustainably.
Boosting Digital Innovation and Social Impact
Speaking at the occasion, Aamir Ibrahim highlighted JazzWorld’s longstanding commitment to empowering Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
He noted that the company has consistently worked with local innovators to accelerate digital transformation across multiple service verticals and expressed optimism about collaborating with the GSMA Foundation to support the next generation of entrepreneurs developing locally relevant digital solutions.
John Giusti emphasized that as part of the global telecom group VEON, JazzWorld plays a pivotal role in shaping Pakistan’s digital landscape. He welcomed the collaboration, stating that the partnership would enhance the GSMA Innovation Fund’s ability to support entrepreneurs driving positive social impact across the country.

The GSMA Innovation Fund identifies and supports startups in developing countries that leverage mobile technology to generate social, economic, and climate impact. Projects are selected through transparent and competitive funding rounds conducted by the GSMA Foundation, following a rigorous evaluation process.
