Jenna Ortega is keeping fans guessing while teasing details about Lady Gaga’s highly anticipated appearance in Wednesday Season 2.

In May, Netflix confirmed that the Die With a Smile hitmaker would make a guest appearance in the second part of the hit supernatural comedy-drama. At the time, the streaming giant introduced Gaga’s character as Rosaline Rotwood – described as a “legendary Nevermore” teacher who encounters Ortega’s Wednesday Addams.

However, Ortega has now cast doubt on that official description. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star revealed, “She’s not a teacher. That’s your little clue. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s wrong.”

While keeping the true role under wraps, Ortega had nothing but praise for the pop icon and Oscar-winning actress. “She’s one of the kindest, most grounded people I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with, such a powerhouse,” said the 22-year-old actress.

Her co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones, who plays Morticia Addams in the Netflix hit, also gushed over Gaga’s addition to the cast. “She was an addition that came from heaven—or in our case, hell, which is a good thing,” Zeta-Jones joked. “I actually feel that she is probably related somehow genetically to the Addams Family.”

Wednesday first premiered on November 23, 2022, and quickly became one of Netflix’s most-watched series, blending gothic mystery, dark humor, and supernatural intrigue. Season 2 has been split into two parts, with the first half debuting on August 6, 2025.

The upcoming second half, which will continue Wednesday Addams’ twisted adventures at Nevermore Academy, is set to arrive on September 3, 2025. With Ortega’s cryptic hint and Gaga’s mysterious role, fans are buzzing with theories about how the pop superstar will fit into the eerie world of Wednesday.

Whether she’s a villain, ally, or something entirely unexpected, Gaga’s appearance is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about moments in Season 2. Until the next episodes drop, audiences will have to rely on Ortega’s carefully chosen clues—and their own wild imaginations.
