Jennifer Aniston is reportedly making a significant life decision following a terrifying stalking incident at her Bel-Air residence in Los Angeles.
According to multiple industry insiders who spoke to RadarOnline.com, the Emmy-winning actress is seriously considering relocating to Montecito, California — a peaceful celebrity haven already home to close friends like Orlando Bloom, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, and Rob Lowe.
Jennifer Aniston already owns a property in Montecito, and according to sources, construction on the estate is nearly complete. “There’s really nothing stopping her from moving right now if she wants to — plus, she’d be surrounded by people she trusts,” shared one insider. The proximity to her tight-knit circle of celebrity friends makes the move even more appealing during this emotionally vulnerable time.
Despite her deep love for her Bel-Air home, the Friends alum has reportedly been shaken to her core after the recent intrusion. The actress was at home when a stalker, later identified as 48-year-old Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, rammed through the gates of her estate. Thankfully, Jennifer Aniston’s security team was able to detain the man at gunpoint until the Los Angeles Police Department arrived. He was arrested and booked on felony vandalism charges and is currently being held without bond.
Sources say the terrifying experience has left Jennifer feeling isolated and unsettled. “She’s lived alone for a long time, and this incident tipped her over the edge,” a confidante revealed. “She feels like the whole city has become dangerous and depressing.”
While Montecito remains her top choice, another option on the table is upstate New York, where actress Michelle Williams owns a farmhouse. “Jennifer isn’t ruling out buying a second property there as a retreat,” said a source.
Though she plans to maintain her Los Angeles base for professional commitments, Jennifer Aniston is actively searching for a new sanctuary. Given the circumstances, her friends are offering full support. “No one blames her,” one insider noted. “She just wants to feel safe again — and Jennifer deserves that peace.”
