Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence has praised Leonardo DiCaprio’s latest film, One Battle After Another, calling it “the best cinematic experience” she’s ever had. The comedy-drama, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson, stars DiCaprio alongside Sean Penn, Teyana Taylor, Chase Infiniti, and Benicio del Toro.
Lawrence recently attended a screening of the film and shared her reaction with BAFTA Playback. “This is the best movie I’ve ever seen. This is One Battle After Another,” she stated, emphasizing the impact of the film on her. The Hunger Games actress also thanked her husband, Cooke Marone, for booking the tickets weeks in advance, making her theater experience even more special.
“When it was over, everyone applauded. I just kept thanking my husband over and over again because he had booked the tickets, like two weeks in advance, and I just couldn’t say anything else other than thank you for that experience,” Lawrence added.
The actress urged fans not to miss the film in theaters, highlighting its fast-paced, gripping storyline. “You have to see it in theatres. I think it’s an impossible pace to uphold. There’s not an extra minute in it, at no point does it drag,” she explained.
One Battle After Another follows Bob Ferguson, a washed-up revolutionary, whose long-time nemesis resurfaces after 16 years, resulting in the mysterious disappearance of his daughter. Critics have praised the film for its intense narrative, stellar performances, and Anderson’s signature direction.
