Jennifer Lawrence recently opened up about her new “happy place” during a conversation at the 92NY Kaufmann Concert Hall on January 7. The 35-year-old Academy Award-winning actress and producer spoke with Josh Horowitz while promoting her latest horror-comedy, Die My Love.
Lawrence, who stars as Grace alongside Robert Pattinson in the 2025 film, revealed that tackling intense roles helps her relax. When asked about a “Kardashian tent”—a reference to the private space she created on the set of Mother! in 2017 to decompress while watching The Kardashians—Lawrence explained that she didn’t have one this time.
“My baby died in that movie, and I had never done something that dark, like to imagine feeling something that dark, so I had this tent,” Lawrence recalled. She added, “I mean, I would have a tent anyway because there were, like, hundreds of extras. So, just in between for me to go sit and eat in peace. But I had Kardashians playing on the laptop and gumballs, and it just kind of turned into a happy place.”
When Horowitz asked about her current go-to happy place, Lawrence revealed a surprising answer. “Probably Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. I think that’s just perfection, and the way it ended. Yeah, it would probably be that,” she said, highlighting her love for reality TV as a way to unwind.
Fans of the Hunger Games star now know that behind the intense roles and Hollywood spotlight, Jennifer Lawrence still finds joy in unexpected, lighthearted escapes.
