Jennifer Lopez is reportedly shocked and hurt after discovering she was completely omitted from Alex Rodriguez’s new docuseries, Alex vs A-Rod.
The series focuses on Rodriguez’s personal journey and career transformation, and many viewers assumed that his highly publicized relationship with Lopez would be included.
Lopez and Rodriguez began dating in 2017, got engaged in 2019, and later ended their relationship in 2021. Because their romance was so prominent in the media, insiders say Lopez believed she would at least be mentioned. According to Closer, a source revealed that the singer had been anticipating how she might appear in the documentary. “She was bracing to be in that documentary,” the insider said, adding that people close to her had been discussing the likelihood for months.
When the series premiered with zero reference to her, Lopez reportedly felt “shocked” and “embarrassed.” The insider noted that the lack of acknowledgment felt deeply personal. “The fact he’s effectively erased her existence and chosen to totally remove her out of his life story is highly insulting and triggering,” they claimed.
The report also revisited past rumors involving Rodriguez and Madison LaCroy. Although LaCroy said nothing physical happened, insiders said Lopez was affected by issues that surfaced during their relationship.
Another source emphasized that there was “absolutely no mention of J.Lo as though she never even existed,” leaving the On the Floor singer feeling that Rodriguez still owes her apologies for past mistakes. Lopez reportedly believes she supported him through major phases of his post-baseball career and is confused by her total exclusion.
For those unaware, Lopez is said to be considering sharing her own version of events in the future.
