Jennifer Lopez made a candid and heartwarming revelation about her children as she kicked off her new Up All Night Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace on December 30.
The global superstar shared that her 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme, are not particularly focused on her career achievements or headline-making performances. Instead, the teenagers are more concerned with whether their mom is present at home.
In an exclusive interview with E! News following the opening night of her residency, Lopez—who shares her twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony—said her children prioritize family time over fame.
“It’s funny, my kids are not very involved with mom’s work,” the 56-year-old entertainer revealed. “They’re like, ‘Work, come home, be home for dinner.’ That’s more what they’re concerned about.”
Lopez added that Max and Emme rarely ask about her setlists, costumes, or stage production. Their questions, she explained, are usually centered on whether she will be home on weekends and available to spend time with them.
Although both teens are musically inclined, they are currently focused on pursuing their own interests and carving out their own paths. “It’s a different life,” Lopez noted. “It’s separate. It’s very separate.”
Despite keeping some distance from the spotlight, Max and Emme remain supportive of their mother’s career. They attended rehearsals for the Las Vegas residency and cheered her on from the sidelines.
The On The Floor hitmaker described her twins as “fans, sweet, and proud of their mama,” highlighting the strong bond she shares with them as she balances motherhood and her high-profile career.
