Jennifer Lopez delivered a standout fashion moment at the 16th Governors Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, turning heads in a dramatic black-and-ivory Tamara Ralph F/W 2025 couture gown.

The 56-year-old star, newly named global ambassador for a luxury diamond brand, showcased her signature style in the strapless silhouette that highlighted her figure and further reinforced her status as a fashion icon to her 247 million Instagram followers.

Lopez appeared straight out of a modern fairytale, posing with confidence as the gown’s black velvet, hourglass-inspired panel created a sculpted effect. She paired the look with long opera gloves, adding a timeless touch. The ivory sections of the dress, layered with sheer black tulle, introduced a subtle gothic elegance that elevated the ensemble.

Her honey-blonde hair was styled in a tousled updo with loose face-framing strands, while statement drop earrings featuring pearls and diamonds completed the sophisticated look.

Beyond her red carpet presence, Lopez is also earning praise for her latest film, Kiss of the Spider Woman, released on October 10. Fans applauded her emotional depth and musical performance in the trailer earlier this year, with some already predicting an Oscar nomination.

In the adaptation, Lopez plays Aurora, a glamorous figure imagined by imprisoned hairstylist Luis Molina. The film, also starring Tonatiuh and Diego Luna, reimagines the 1993 Broadway musical inspired by Manuel Puig’s acclaimed 1976 novel.
