Jennifer Lopez is completely unfazed by the recent viral images of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner sharing a warm moment. The global superstar is not letting the internet speculation affect her, despite fans’ attempts to create unnecessary drama.
Jennifer Lopez isn’t losing sleep over the widely circulated photos of Affleck and Garner embracing at their son Samuel’s birthday celebration. The friendly hug, captured on March 2, sparked online chatter, but according to a source, Lopez remains unbothered.
“Jennifer Lopez knows exactly what it is and what it is not. People are reading into it to create drama where none exists,” an insider told PEOPLE.
The Hustlers actress, who finalized her divorce from Affleck in January after two years of marriage, “doesn’t feel betrayed,” the source added. “I think Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Garner have a great mutual respect for each other, and they’re all committed to co-parenting.”
Despite ongoing speculation about tension within this blended family, the reality appears to be far more peaceful.
“There is no animosity. Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner, and Ben Affleck are all focused on what matters—raising their children and maintaining a healthy dynamic,” the insider explained. “We’re always pitting women against women, but in this case, it’s just not the truth.”
Affleck and Garner, who share three children—Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13—reunited at a paintball party for Samuel’s birthday, where they were seen chatting, laughing, and sharing a quick hug.
“They have been on good terms for a while now and genuinely seem to enjoy catching up,” another source noted on March 5. “Most of the time, their interactions revolve around the kids.”
According to the insider, Affleck “usually appears happy around” Garner, who is currently in a relationship with businessman John Miller.
“Jennifer Lopez understands the dynamic between Ben and Jennifer Garner, and she’s completely secure in it,” the source continued. “She knows they have a long history, and she’s never been the type to dwell on the past.”
