Kaiyi E-Qute 4 vs Honri VE: Which Budget EV Fits Pakistani Drivers Better?

Automotive

Pakistan’s affordable electric vehicle segment is heating up as the newly launched Kaiyi E-Qute 4 enters the market to compete directly with the Honri VE.

With competitive pricing, practical driving ranges, and compact city-friendly designs, both EVs are attracting buyers looking for economical transportation amid rising fuel costs.

The latest launch by Q Autos has intensified competition in the entry-level EV category, where Dewan Farooque Motors Limited already established a presence with the Honri VE lineup. Both vehicles target urban commuters seeking lower running costs and modern electric mobility solutions.

Price Comparison: Which EV Offers Better Value?

The Honri VE remains one of the most affordable electric cars available in Pakistan. The Honri VE 2.0, which offers a claimed driving range of 200 kilometers, is priced at Rs 3,599,000 ex-factory.

Meanwhile, the higher-spec Honri VE 3.0 variant, featuring a larger battery and a 300-kilometer range, carries an ex-factory price of Rs 4,399,000.

On the other hand, the newly launched Kaiyi E-Qute 4 enters the market with slightly higher pricing but improved performance and longer-range options.

The 300-kilometer variant officially costs Rs 4,490,000, although Q Autos is offering an introductory price of Rs 3,990,000 for the first 200 units.

Meanwhile, the 400-kilometer variant has an official ex-factory price of Rs 5,190,000, while early buyers can purchase it at a discounted introductory rate of Rs 4,690,000.

Performance and Battery Comparison

The Honri VE focuses primarily on city commuting. The VE 2.0 uses an 18.5 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery producing 30 kW power and 84 Nm torque. It delivers a top speed of 100 km/h and a claimed driving range of 200 kilometers.

The VE 3.0 upgrades to a 29.9 kWh battery with 35 kW output and 87 Nm torque, extending the range to nearly 300 kilometers.

Both variants support economy and sports driving modes, automatic single-speed transmission, and fast charging capability.

On the other hand, the Kaiyi E-Qute 4 delivers stronger overall performance figures. Both variants generate 54 horsepower and 110 Nm torque while sharing the same compact dimensions and 2,500 mm wheelbase.

The 300-kilometer variant includes a 28.08 kWh battery, while the 400-kilometer version features a larger 39.826 kWh pack for extended driving range.

Which EV Should Buyers Choose?

Drivers looking for the lowest entry price and short-distance city usage may prefer the Honri VE. However, buyers seeking better performance, longer range, and upgraded battery capacity could find the Kaiyi E-Qute 4 a stronger long-term investment in Pakistan’s growing electric vehicle market.
