Kanye West, also known as Ye, has drawn a record-breaking crowd at his latest concert in Houston, marking a significant moment in his return to the music industry following years of controversy.

According to the Houston Chronicle, around 80,210 people attended the performance at Reliant Stadium, setting a new attendance record for a rap concert at the venue.

The Chicago-born rapper performed for nearly three hours, marking his first concert in Houston since 2019.

Ye performed several of his popular tracks on an elaborate Earth-inspired stage, which has become a major feature of his comeback tour.

The concert also featured special appearances by rapper Playboi Carti, who joined Ye to perform several songs.

Another highlight came when Ye’s daughter, North West, took to the stage. Wearing elaborate make-up, she performed three tracks before leaving the stage, with her father embracing her as she exited.

The impressive turnout comes after Ye faced widespread criticism and professional setbacks following his anti-Semitic remarks and controversies.

His latest Houston performance suggests renewed audience interest in his music, although his past controversies continue to shape public discussion surrounding the rapper.
