Kanye West Meets Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto, Seeks Redemption After Anti-Semitic Remarks

American rapper and music producer Kanye West appears to be taking a step toward reconciliation and personal healing after a turbulent period marked by his anti-Semitic outbursts.

The controversial artist recently met Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, a well-known spiritual leader based in New York, in what seems to be an effort to make amends and rebuild his public image.

In a video shared on Rabbi Pinto’s Instagram, Kanye — who now goes by Ye — is seen expressing gratitude and accountability. “I’m really blessed to be able to sit here with you today and just take accountability,” he said during their meeting.

A translator relayed Ye’s words in Hebrew to the rabbi as he opened up about his mental health struggles, particularly bipolar disorder. “It would take the ideas I had and push them to an extreme where I would forget about protecting the people around me, or myself,” Ye explained. He used a metaphor of a child making a mess at home to describe taking responsibility for his past actions.

This is not Ye’s first public apology. Earlier, he posted on X (formerly Twitter) stating, “I am done with antisemitism.”

Kanye’s controversial statements had previously led to severe backlash — major brands ended partnerships, and many in the music industry distanced themselves from him. His latest gesture, however, signals a renewed attempt to seek forgiveness, rebuild trust, and move forward on a more positive path.
