Although this will be Ye’s first official concert in India, it is not his first time visiting the country. In 2009, Kanye reportedly traveled to India seeking spiritual refuge at an ashram. Later, in 2012, he returned to promote his fashion brand, staying at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.
An insider told Today, “Kanye might do some … things, but he’s smart. He knows he needs to come back from this break changed… He goes to India, and he has a chance to come back seeming like he learned something from what happened.”
