Karachi Prepares for Colder Weather as Quetta Drops to –1°C

Islamabad, December 6, 2025 – As winter tightens its grip across Pakistan, Karachi is expected to face noticeably colder days ahead after Quetta recorded a freezing –1°C on Saturday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Karachi’s minimum temperature is forecast to decline to 11°C over the next three days, following a steady drop in temperatures in Quetta, which may plunge further to –3°C.

Weather experts note that Karachi’s winter pattern is closely linked to temperature shifts in Quetta. As cold winds move from Balochistan toward Sindh, Karachi experiences a significant dip in temperatures, particularly during early mornings and nighttime hours.
