Karachi set for rising temperatures with unhealthy air quality this week

Hot and Humid Weather

Karachi, March 10, 2026 – Residents of Karachi, the commercial and financial hub of Pakistan, are expected to face rising temperatures and deteriorating air quality in the coming days, according to the latest weather outlook.

Forecast data from AccuWeather, a global weather forecasting platform, indicates that the city will experience hot and hazy conditions throughout the week, with daytime temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 30s Celsius. The forecast also warns that air quality levels may remain “very unhealthy,” posing risks for sensitive groups and people with respiratory conditions.

Weather projections show that Wednesday, March 11, will bring temperatures around 35°C during the day and 20°C at night, with broken intervals of clouds and strong sunshine. The RealFeel temperature is expected to remain near 35°C, while the UV index may reach 8, which is considered unhealthy for prolonged exposure.

Conditions are expected to intensify on Thursday, when the temperature could reach 36°C, accompanied by hazy sunshine and dry weather. The RealFeel temperature may climb to 38°C, making outdoor conditions feel even hotter.

The heat is forecast to persist through Friday and Saturday, with temperatures hovering around 35°C, while Sunday could see the mercury rising further to 38°C, marking one of the hottest days of the week.

Meteorologists say light winds ranging between 11 and 15 km/h may offer limited relief, but persistent haze could continue to affect visibility and air quality across the city.

Experts advise residents to avoid prolonged outdoor exposure during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and limit activities in polluted environments as Karachi faces this spell of heat and unhealthy air conditions.
