Islamabad, January 19, 2026: The temperature in Karachi, Pakistan’s financial and commercial hub, is gradually edging upward as the city braces for possible rainfall in the coming days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Karachi’s minimum temperature is expected to remain between 16 and 17 degrees Celsius over the next two days. The slight rise in temperature comes amid changing weather patterns that may bring showers to parts of Sindh.

Monday:
Cold and dry weather is likely across most parts of Pakistan, while very cold conditions are expected in hilly areas. Cloudy skies may develop in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, where light rain or light snowfall could occur at isolated locations. Meanwhile, moderate to dense fog is expected to persist over Punjab and upper Sindh during nighttime and early morning hours.
Tuesday:
Similar weather conditions are forecast to continue on Tuesday. Most regions will experience cold and dry weather, with very cold conditions in the mountainous areas. Cloudiness with chances of light rain or snowfall may again affect upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan. Fog is likely to remain moderate to dense over Punjab and upper Sindh.
Weather in the Past 24 Hours
Over the last 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country, while hilly regions experienced very cold and partly cloudy conditions. Light rain and snowfall were recorded in Kalam, and moderate to dense fog affected large areas of Punjab, upper Sindh, and the plain districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The lowest temperatures recorded were Leh at -8°C, Gupis at -6°C, Skardu at -5°C, while Bagrote, Parachinar, and Quetta recorded -4°C.
Residents, particularly in fog-prone and hilly regions, are advised to take precautionary measures as cold conditions and reduced visibility may continue.
