The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted light rain for Karachi and other coastal areas of Sindh, starting from August 7, 2023.
The weather agency also predicted hot and humid weather in most parts of the country, with rain and thundershowers expected in specific regions.
According to the PMD, Karachi and the coastal areas of Sindh are likely to experience light rain and drizzle during the three-day period commencing on August 7, 2023. The weather agency issued a statement regarding the anticipated weather conditions.
The country-wide forecast for Monday, August 7, 2023, indicates that most parts of Pakistan will experience hot and humid weather. However, specific regions are expected to witness rain, wind, and thundershowers. These regions include Kashmir, the Pothohar region, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The weather patterns can be attributed to the penetration of moist currents from the Arabian Sea into the upper parts of Pakistan. Additionally, a westerly wave has been identified over the upper regions of the country, contributing to the potential rainfall.

As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s predictions, Karachi and the coastal areas of Sindh should brace for light rain and drizzle from August 7, 2023. Meanwhile, other regions of the country can expect hot and humid weather, with the possibility of rain and thundershowers in specific areas.
