Pakistan Weather

Karachi, March 3, 2025 – Karachi, the financial and commercial hub of Pakistan, is set to experience colder days accompanied by strong winds, according to the latest forecast by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The weather in Karachi is expected to remain clear but breezy, with intermittent gusts contributing to the drop in temperature.

According to the PMD, Karachi’s weather on Monday saw a minimum recorded temperature of 19.5°C, with a maximum temperature expected to range between 29°C and 31°C. However, as cold winds intensify, the temperature in Karachi on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, could drop further, with the minimum expected to reach 12°C. Humidity levels in Karachi remain at 79%, while northwestward winds are contributing to a mix of partial cloud cover and bright sunshine.

The changing weather in Karachi comes as several regions across Pakistan are experiencing significant rainfall and snowfall. Various parts of Punjab, including Multan, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, witnessed moderate to heavy downpours. Meanwhile, Balochistan saw rain and snow in areas such as Qila Abdullah, Pishin, Saranan, Gulistan, Huramzai, Muslim Bagh, Sinjawi, Duki, Harnai, Loralai, Mekhtar, and Khanozai.

Severe weather conditions near the Afghan and Iranian borders resulted in hailstorms, while Ziarat, Toba Achakzai, and Toba Kakri experienced heavy snowfall. The PMD has also forecast cold and partially cloudy weather in Quetta and other districts of Balochistan in the coming days.

Additionally, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, along with Gilgit-Baltistan, received moderate to heavy rainfall. Areas such as Muzaffarabad, Bhimber, Bagh, Nakyal, and Dhirkot were affected, while regions like Neelum Valley, Arang Kel, Halmat, Taobat, Grace Valley, Shounter Valley, and Skardu saw heavy snowfall. Due to these extreme weather conditions, several roads in northern Pakistan have been closed, and regular flights from Islamabad to Skardu have been canceled.

The PMD also reported that Quetta recorded a minimum temperature of 4°C, while Kalat saw 5°C. Meanwhile, Sibi registered a minimum of 14°C, with Turbat and Gwadar recording 17°C. With Karachi’s weather remaining unpredictable due to strong winds, residents should prepare for colder days ahead.
