Kate Cassidy, girlfriend of the late One Direction star Liam Payne, has shared a deeply emotional tribute marking the first anniversary of the singer’s tragic death.

The 26-year-old influencer, who dated Payne for two years, took to Instagram on Thursday to honor his memory with a heartfelt message and a touching throwback photo.

“Today marks a full year without you here,” Cassidy wrote, adding, “I will forever hate goodbyes. I miss you, Liam.”

Alongside her message, Kate shared a black-and-white image of herself and the late singer lying together, with Payne affectionately wrapping his arm around her and kissing her cheek — a poignant reminder of their love and connection.

For those unfamiliar, Liam Payne passed away last year at the age of 31 after a tragic fall from the third-floor balcony of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Strip That Down singer is survived by his parents, sisters Nicola and Ruth, his son Bear (with ex Cheryl Cole), and girlfriend Kate Cassidy.

In a separate emotional video posted on October 12, Cassidy reflected on her final moments with Liam before his death. She recounted their last goodbye as she prepared to return to the U.S. after spending two weeks with him in Argentina.

“He looked at me and said, ‘Kaitlin, you’re going to miss your flight — you’re acting like this is the last time you’ll ever see me again,’” she recalled tearfully.

Kate concluded her tribute with a heartfelt reminder: “You never know what tomorrow brings. Tell your loved ones you love them and hold them a little closer today.”
