Hollywood star Kate Hudson has revealed that she has given up on Botox treatments while preparing for her latest film, Song Sung Blue. The 46-year-old actress explained that the film is set in the 1980s, long before wrinkle-freezing treatments became common, and she wanted to embrace a natural, authentic look for her character.
Speaking to The Standard, Hudson reflected on her upbringing, saying that growing up with brothers made her less preoccupied with appearance. “As I get older, I’ve learned to accept wrinkles and the life experiences that come with being a woman,” she said.
For the role, Kate also stopped wearing make-up regularly and allowed herself to gain a little weight, fully immersing herself in her character’s journey. Despite these changes, she emphasized the importance of balancing self-care with enjoying life, admitting that her healthy routines are sometimes interrupted by indulgences like cocktails and pasta.
Beyond acting, Hudson opened up about her musical inspirations, revealing that seeing Sir Paul McCartney perform at Glastonbury encouraged her to take creative risks and stop trying to please everyone.
The Almost Famous star said she is now focused on fully pursuing her passions and embracing new opportunities, both professionally and personally. She concluded that the key is to live life mindfully while celebrating its joys, letting experiences shape her rather than trying to chase perfection.
Kate Hudson’s approach highlights a growing trend among actresses to prioritize authenticity over cosmetic perfection, reflecting confidence and self-acceptance in Hollywood today.
