Actress Kate Hudson has shared the heartwarming connection between her children and longtime friend Gwyneth Paltrow, revealing that the Goop founder is lovingly called “Auntie Gwyneth” at her home.

Speaking with People Magazine, Hudson explained: “We lived in England at the same time, and she was a huge support system for me and my son. She’s Auntie Gwyneth.”

Hudson, mother to sons Ryder and Bingham, and daughter Rani, described how her friendship with Paltrow has evolved over the years into a relationship closer to family than just friends.

The actress has also reflected on the challenges of balancing motherhood and career. In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hudson said: “I’ve been a mom since I was 23 — I had Ryder really young, and I’ve had kids my whole adult life. Here my daughter was turning 6, and it was the first time I didn’t have a very young child, so I was able to work on my craft.”

She added, “It makes me think about mothers who make these decisions to leave their family to go make movies. It takes a lot. You need to give yourself permission to be okay not being 100 percent present for them all day.”

Hudson’s reflections offer insight into the unique support systems parents rely on, highlighting the bond between her children and Gwyneth Paltrow as a special part of their family life.
