Karachi, March 10, 2025 – The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has issued a stern reminder to its members, urging them to renew their memberships before the deadline to prevent cancellation.
The KCCI emphasized that failure to comply with the renewal requirements will result in an automatic cessation of membership, necessitating a complete re-admission process.
According to an official statement, the KCCI has advised all its members to complete the renewal process by March 31, 2025, to avoid any disruptions in their membership status. The renewal process is currently underway for the 2025-26 term, and as per the Trade Organizations Act 2013, the final deadline remains March 31, 2025.
The KCCI has been proactively notifying its members through multiple communication channels, including letters, emails, and SMS alerts, to ensure awareness regarding the impending expiry of memberships. To maintain active membership, individuals and organizations must submit the prescribed membership fee along with proof of filing the latest income tax and sales tax returns, if applicable.
The KCCI has also cautioned that any member failing to renew their membership on or before March 31, 2025, will face automatic cancellation. Those wishing to regain their membership status will have to undergo the entire re-admission procedure, which may involve additional formalities and verification steps.
To facilitate a seamless renewal process, the KCCI has provided multiple payment options. Members can submit their renewal fees via online banking or deposit their bank challans at designated branches of Bank Al-Habib, Habib Metropolitan Bank, Meezan Bank Limited, and Faysal Bank Limited. Alternatively, payments can be made through pay orders, which must be submitted at the KCCI office. Additionally, members are required to send the payment receipt along with tax return documents to the KCCI for validation.
For those who have not yet received their payment challan, the membership department at the KCCI is available during office hours for assistance. Furthermore, the KCCI is expediting the issuance of membership cards and certificates, which serve as essential documents for various business and regulatory purposes. Members are strongly encouraged to act promptly to secure their membership and avoid any administrative hurdles.
