NFL star Travis Kelce has revealed an exciting new venture just days after his girlfriend, pop icon Taylor Swift, announced her upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl.
While Swift’s October album release has fans buzzing, Kelce is preparing to make headlines of his own with the launch of a luxury dining spot in Kansas City.
On Monday, August 18, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end officially announced the opening date for his long-anticipated steakhouse, 1587 Prime, which he co-owns with teammate and quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The name 1587 Prime is a nod to the jersey numbers of the two football stars, 15 and 87.
Kelce shared the news with fans through a joint Instagram post, showcasing a promotional video of him savoring steak alongside Mahomes. The post caption read: “Precision in every detail. Power in every bite. 1587 Prime opens Wednesday, September 17. Beginning Wednesday, August 20 at 12pm CST, you can reserve your table for opening night and beyond. Be among the first to experience Kansas City’s newest steakhouse.”
In the announcement video, Kelce expressed his excitement, saying, “What’s better than to break bread with people over good food, good drinks, and a cool vibe?” Mahomes added, “We wanted to bring something special for the city of Kansas City.”
As the two teammates dined together, Mahomes continued in a voiceover, highlighting the city’s love for food: “Kansas City loves food. The city’s gonna love it.”
Located inside the Loews Kansas City Hotel, 1587 Prime promises to deliver an upscale dining experience featuring premium steaks and a sophisticated atmosphere. The restaurant aims to become a new culinary hotspot for locals and visitors alike, combining the star power of two NFL champions with Kansas City’s reputation as a food-loving city.
With Taylor Swift’s album release creating global anticipation and Travis Kelce preparing to open 1587 Prime, the couple is making waves in both the entertainment and lifestyle worlds. Reservations for the restaurant open on August 20, giving fans and food lovers the chance to secure a spot at one of the city’s most talked-about new dining destinations.
