Khloé Kardashian is standing firm in her commitment to family, including Tristan Thompson’s younger brother Amari, after calling out what she described as “gross” and uninformed online commentary about his needs.
Over the weekend, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum took to Instagram Stories to address negative remarks she received after sharing videos of Amari attending a dance class at Carousel Dance Studio in West Hills, California. Amari, 19, lives with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a severe form of epilepsy that affects his ability to walk and speak.
Khloé expressed disappointment over comments questioning whether Amari understood the class or could even participate. She urged followers to think before posting, emphasizing that people who lack experience with individuals with functional needs should refrain from making assumptions.
The Good American founder explained that joy and engagement look different for everyone, particularly for those with disabilities. She added that viewers who do not appreciate such content are free to scroll past instead of leaving hurtful remarks.
Khloé also clarified that she has permission to share moments from Amari’s classes and said she would continue doing so to spotlight dance academies that create inclusive spaces for children and young adults with needs. She later posted clips showing Amari smiling as instructors danced with him and spun his specialized power wheelchair, highlighting his clear enjoyment.
In July, Khloé revealed that she became Amari’s primary caretaker following the death of his mother, Andrea Thompson, in 2023, as Tristan Thompson continues his NBA commitments. Despite her split from Tristan in 2021, Khloé has remained dedicated to Amari’s well-being.
Speaking on her Khloé in Wonderland podcast, she reaffirmed her commitment, saying the goal is to provide Amari with the best life possible—one filled with care, dignity, and happiness.
