KIA Makes 2026 EV9 Appealing With Lower Prices, New Features

KIA EV9

KIA is stepping up its game in the electric SUV market by making the highly anticipated 2026 EV9 more accessible and attractive.

While the base-level EV9 Light Standard Range (SR) retains its competitive starting price of $56,395 (including destination), several higher-end trims are getting price reductions, making it easier for more consumers to experience this premium electric SUV.

Updated Pricing for 2026 Kia EV9 Trims:

EV9 Light SR: $56,395 (No change from 2025)

EV9 Light LR: $59,395 ($2,000 cheaper than 2025)

EV9 Wind: $65,395 (No change from 2025)

EV9 Land: $70,395 ($1,000 cheaper than 2025)

EV9 GT-Line: $73,395 ($2,000 cheaper than 2025)

These strategic price cuts, especially on the Light Long Range and GT-Line models, position the EV9 as a more affordable option in the growing EV market.

Nightfall Edition Adds Performance and Style

For 2026, Kia introduces a new Nightfall Edition package exclusively for the EV9 Land trim. This edition borrows the high-performance “Boost mode” from the GT-Line, enhancing torque output to an impressive 516 lb-ft, up from 443, while maintaining a robust 379 horsepower. This results in an estimated 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 4.5 seconds.

Visually, the Nightfall Edition stands out with bold gloss-black exterior trim, 20-inch black wheels, and a unique new “Roadrider Brown” paint option, offering buyers a blend of performance and sophisticated styling.

Improved Range Across Multiple Trims

Kia has also improved driving range on several 2026 EV9 variants. The GT-Line now offers up to 280 miles of estimated range, up from 270 miles.

The Wind and Land trims have a slightly increased range of 283 miles (up from 280), while the Light Long Range sees a bump to 305 miles, enhancing its long-distance travel capabilities.

Looking Ahead: The EV9 GT

Kia has confirmed that a high-performance EV9 GT model is on the horizon for 2026. Though pricing hasn’t been revealed, it’s expected to deliver 501 horsepower and accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.3 seconds.

With lower prices, increased range, and the exciting Nightfall Edition, the 2026 Kia EV9 strengthens its appeal as a powerful and value-rich electric SUV choice.
