KIA Pakistan Temporarily Halts Bookings for Sportage L HEV

KIA Pakistan has announced a temporary suspension of bookings for its popular hybrid SUV, the Kia Sportage L HEV, citing global supply constraints and an overwhelming rise in demand.

In an official statement released to customers and stakeholders, KIA Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) emphasized its commitment to transparent and open communication.

The automaker stated that due to the increasing demand for the Sportage L HEV, it is currently reevaluating the shipment schedule for Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits. As a result, new bookings for the Sportage L HEV have been paused until further notice.

“We are currently assessing the global supply chain and future shipment schedule of CKD kits for the Sportage L HEV,” the company said. “Once we have more clarity regarding the arrival timeline, we will resume bookings accordingly.”

Despite the temporary halt in new bookings, the company reassured customers that all existing orders will be honored. Vehicles already booked under the Provisional Booking Order (PBO) will be delivered as per the committed timelines mentioned in the respective PBO documents.

Meanwhile, KIA Pakistan confirmed that bookings remain open for other variants of the Sportage, including the 2.0L Alpha and 2.0L Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) models. The company has visibility on the arrival schedule of CKD kits for these variants and is continuing to fulfill orders without delay.

The Kia Sportage L HEV has garnered strong interest in the Pakistani market due to its fuel efficiency, advanced features, and competitive pricing.

Its suspension in bookings highlights the increasing popularity of hybrid vehicles in the region as consumers seek more eco-friendly and cost-effective transportation options.

KIA customers are advised to stay updated through the company’s official communication channels for the latest announcements regarding the resumption of Sportage L HEV bookings.

For now, buyers interested in other Sportage variants can continue to place orders, with deliveries proceeding as per schedule.
