Tech powerhouse Xiaomi has officially unveiled its much-anticipated electric SUV, the Xiaomi YU7, during its 15th anniversary celebration.
Following the success of the SU7 sedan, the YU7 marks a bold step forward in Xiaomi’s push into the electric vehicle (EV) market, combining hypercar-level performance, luxury features, and long-range capabilities.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun revealed strong market response to the SU7, with over 258,000 units delivered. While pricing for the YU7 remains undisclosed until its July 2025 launch, Lei Jun suggested a premium price point, denying rumors of a 199,000 yuan ($27,600 USD) entry cost.
The YU7 rides on Xiaomi’s advanced Modena platform, featuring a spacious mid-to-large SUV body at 4,999 mm long, 1,996 mm wide, and 1,608 mm high, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase.
The SUV will be offered in nine vibrant colors, including Colombian Emerald Green and Metallic Titanium, paired with 19- or 20-inch wheels and a weight range of 2,140 kg to 2,460 kg.
Inside, the YU7 impresses with a premium leather interior, ambient-lit electric door handles, and smartphone-enabled UWB access.
The front “zero-gravity” Nappa leather seats offer 10-point massage functions and recline up to 123°, while rear passengers enjoy 135° recline and a dedicated 6.68-inch touchscreen for climate, audio, and navigation.
The centerpiece of the dashboard is a stunning 1.1-meter “HyperVision” display with three Mini LED screens at retina-level resolution.
Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and Xiaomi’s 4-in-1 domain controller, the YU7 supports seamless infotainment, assisted driving, and OTA updates in just 15 minutes.
Three powertrain options are available:
YU7 RWD: 235 kW motor, 0–100 km/h in 5.88s, 835 km range
YU7 Pro AWD: 365 kW, 0–100 km/h in 4.27s, 770 km range
YU7 Max AWD: 508 kW, 0–100 km/h in 3.23s, 760 km range
All versions feature Xiaomi’s 800V platform, ultra-fast charging (620 km in 15 minutes), and advanced safety, including a steel-aluminum body, bullet-resistant battery casing, and a full suite of driver-assistance tech like Lidar, 4D radar, and Nvidia’s AGX Thor system.
With the YU7, Xiaomi signals its intent to disrupt the global EV SUV segment—blending extreme performance, luxury, and next-gen innovation into one dynamic electric SUV.
