The new Stonic measures 4,165 mm in length and has a 2,580 mm wheelbase. The Turbo S variant offers 183 mm of ground clearance, giving the compact SUV a practical stance for varied road conditions.
Both variants are powered by a 1.0-litre Turbo GDi petrol engine producing 100 PS of maximum power and 172 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, while Eco, Normal and Sport driving modes are available.
The Turbo S receives Star-Map LED daytime running lights, LED MFR headlamps, front fog lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels and a power tilt-and-slide sunroof. It also features a smart key, push-button start, an 8-inch display audio system, six speakers and a 4.2-inch supervision TFT LCD cluster.
For convenience, the Turbo S comes with an electric parking brake with Auto Hold, an electro-chromic rear-view mirror and a rear-view camera supported by front and rear parking sensors.
The Turbo X shares the same engine and transmission but receives 16-inch alloy wheels, bi-function projection headlamps, keyless entry and cruise control. It also adds bridge-type roof rails, silver skid plates and 60:40 split-folding rear seats.
Safety equipment across both variants includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill-start Assist Control and a multi-collision braking system.
With its updated design, turbocharged engine and technology package, the new Kia Stonic adds another fresh option to Pakistan’s compact SUV segment. Pricing remains the key detail still awaited from Kia Pakistan.
