KIA has officially reduced the prices of its popular Sportage lineup in Pakistan, starting from May 1, 2025.
This major price cut seems to be a strategic response to growing competition, especially after Hyundai recently launched its Tucson Hybrid at an aggressive price. The KIA Sportage and Hyundai Tucson have long competed in the local SUV market, offering similar performance, features, and appeal. With Hyundai making a bold move, many expected KIA to take action — and it has.
Revised Prices for KIA Sportage
According to KIA’s latest announcement, several Sportage variants are now available at significantly lower prices:
• The Sportage L HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) has dropped from Rs. 12,850,000 to Rs. 10,999,000 — a reduction of Rs. 1,851,000.
• The Sportage L FWD (Front-Wheel Drive) is now priced at Rs. 9,999,000, down from Rs. 11,825,000 — a cut of Rs. 1,826,000.
• The base variant, Sportage L Alpha, is being offered for Rs. 8,499,000, reduced by Rs. 1,000,000 from its earlier price of Rs. 9,499,000.
Important: These prices are valid for a limited time and only while stocks last. Buyers will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis.
KIA’s move is clearly aimed at regaining ground in the mid-size SUV segment, where the Sportage has traditionally been a top choice. The arrival of the Tucson Hybrid has added new pressure, and this price reduction is KIA’s answer to stay competitive.
For customers, this is an ideal opportunity to buy a premium SUV at a more affordable price. The aggressive pricing may also push other automakers to follow suit, possibly leading to more discounts and offers in the coming months.
In short, KIA has taken a bold step by slashing Sportage prices across multiple variants. This not only benefits consumers but also shakes up the local SUV market. If you’re planning to buy an SUV soon, now might be the right time to consider the KIA Sportage.
