Kim Kardashian Reveals Real-Life Inspiration Behind Her ‘All’s Fair’ Role

Reality TV icon and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian is stepping deeper into the world of scripted television — this time as a powerful attorney in Ryan Murphy’s new legal drama, All’s Fair. The SKIMS founder revealed that her portrayal of lawyer Allura Grant was inspired by none other than her own divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser.

In a new interview with People for its digital cover story, Kim opened up about channeling Wasser’s confidence, sharpness, and resilience for the role.

“Laura happened to be my attorney for two divorces out of the three,” Kim said, referring to her past marriages with Kris Humphries (2013) and Kanye West (2022). “Her dad was also my mom [Kris Jenner]’s attorney during her divorce from my dad [Robert Kardashian].”

Praising Wasser’s decades of legal experience, Kim added, “She has 40 years of stories, and I felt like I drew inspiration from seeing what a badass woman she’s been.”

Kim Kardashian’s New Legal Drama

The upcoming Ryan Murphy series follows Allura Grant and her team of fierce female lawyers who leave a male-dominated firm to start their own practice — a bold story of empowerment, ambition, and sisterhood.

The show features an impressive cast, including Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, Niecy Nash-Betts, and Teyana Taylor.

From Law School to the Small Screen

Kardashian’s involvement in All’s Fair comes as no surprise — she has spent the last seven years studying law and advocating for criminal justice reform. “Ryan first came to me with a project idea based on Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Kim revealed. “I told him, ‘No, that’s not something I’d be into,’ and I think he was really shocked.”

She continued, “Later, he came up with a concept inspired by my law journey — and I was all for it. He said he wrote the show after picking his dream cast, which is the opposite of how he usually works.”

Balancing Stardom, Family, and Ambition

Kim, who shares four children — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm — with ex-husband Kanye West, has been redefining her career by blending celebrity influence with serious causes. Her move into a law-centered drama feels like a natural extension of her real-life ambitions to become a licensed attorney.

With All’s Fair, Kim Kardashian not only steps into a new acting role but also into a reflection of her own life — one where power, purpose, and perseverance collide.
