King Salman Orders Qiblatain Mosque Open 24 Hours

Madinah, October 6, 2025 – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has issued a royal directive to keep the historic Qiblatain Mosque in Madinah open around the clock, allowing worshippers to perform prayers at any time of day or night.

On this occasion, Prince Salman bin Sultan, Emir of the Madinah Region and Chairman of the Regional Development Authority, expressed deep gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their unwavering dedication to enhancing religious facilities and serving visitors to the Kingdom’s sacred sites.

“The directive from King Salman underscores Saudi Arabia’s continued devotion to maintaining and developing mosques, especially the Two Holy Mosques, and embodies the Kingdom’s leadership in serving Islam and Muslims,” Prince Salman stated.

He confirmed that all relevant authorities have begun implementing the necessary operational and administrative measures to ensure the Qiblatain Mosque’s readiness for continuous access, highlighting efforts to enhance worshippers’ comfort and spiritual experience.

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Al-Sheikh also praised King Salman’s initiative, noting that it reflects the leadership’s enduring commitment to the care of mosques and their visitors. He added that the Qiblatain Mosque has been fully equipped with modern facilities to accommodate round-the-clock worship, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s mission to serve Islam and Muslims globally.
