The reality star reveals how she discovered Kim Kardashian’s first marriage through friends while offering advice to her stepdaughter Alabama Barker.

Kourtney Kardashian has recalled feeling betrayed when her younger sister, Kim Kardashian, secretly married music producer Damon Thomas at the age of 19 without telling her.

In a preview of the upcoming eighth season of The Kardashians, shared by People magazine, Kourtney discussed family disagreements with her stepdaughter, Alabama Barker.

During their conversation, Alabama revealed that she had fallen out with her brother, Landon Barker, after a disagreement. She explained that she had told their father about something she believed was in Landon’s best interests, but he was unhappy with her decision. The siblings had reportedly not spoken for nearly four weeks.

Relating to Alabama’s experience, Kourtney recalled a similar period of silence between herself and Kim during their younger years.

“Kim got married when she was 19 and she didn’t tell me — my friends told me,” Kourtney said.

She also remembered how their mother, Kris Jenner, learnt about the marriage after a nail technician congratulated her on her daughter’s wedding.

According to Kourtney, Kim reacted angrily when the matter was raised, telling her sister, “You’re ruining my life!”

Kim married Thomas in 2000, marking her first marriage. The relationship ended in divorce in 2004.

She later married basketball player Kris Humphries in 2011, although their marriage ended in 2013. Her third marriage was to rapper Kanye West, whom she married in 2014. Their divorce was finalised in 2022.

Kourtney’s recollection highlights how family disagreements and personal decisions have shaped relationships within the famous Kardashian family.
