Pakistan Stock Exchange rallies 2.38% as investors respond positively to falling international oil prices and reports of Trump’s defeat in US mid-term elections.
Karachi, November 4, 2026: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a strong bullish rally as the benchmark KSE-100 Index surged 3,994.62 points, or 2.38%, to close at 172,013.48 points.
According to market data, the index had closed at 168,018.86 points in the previous session before gaining nearly 4,000 points during the latest trading session.
The benchmark index touched an intraday high of 172,286.99 points, while its lowest level stood at 168,355.26 points.
The market recorded trading volume of 371.01 million shares, reflecting substantial investor participation. The total traded value reached approximately Rs27.59 billion.
The bullish momentum was attributed to positive investor sentiment following a decline in international oil prices and reports concerning US political developments, including a setback for Donald Trump in the US mid-term elections.
Falling global oil prices generally support sentiment in Pakistan’s equity market by easing concerns about the country’s import bill, inflation and external account pressures.
The strong performance pushed the KSE-100 Index above the psychologically important 172,000-point level, reflecting renewed buying interest across the market.
