Lamborghini Unveils Electric Lanzador Concept at The Quail Event

Italian luxury automaker Lamborghini has taken the wraps off its groundbreaking electric concept vehicle, the Lanzador, marking the brand’s entry into the realm of pure-electric cars.

Unveiled at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, the Lanzador showcases a fusion of high-performance attributes from the flagship Revuelto and the versatile Urus, coupled with innovative infotainment features to redefine the onboard experience.

The Lanzador, a high-ground-clearance Gran Turismo model with 2+2 seating, introduces an all-wheel-drive configuration powered by electric motors on each axle, ensuring a consistent all-electric driving experience across various conditions and terrains.

Packing a staggering peak power exceeding one megawatt, the concept vehicle employs a cutting-edge high-performance battery system to guarantee both impressive range and power.

Lamborghini’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in the Lanzador’s interior, where the use of eco-friendly materials does not compromise the opulent aesthetics, quality, and resilience that define the brand.

This visionary concept upholds Lamborghini’s legacy of power, performance, and driving pleasure, offering customers an electrifying experience suitable for daily use.

According to Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, “The Lanzador concept encapsulates the core attributes of Lamborghini’s inaugural full-electric model. The decision to unveil this glimpse of our electric future at The Quail event, surrounded by our legacy models, pays homage to our 60 years of DNA.”

In addition to the Lanzador debut, Lamborghini showcased an impressive lineup at The Quail event. This included the 1,015 CV plug-in hybrid Revuelto, featuring a groundbreaking V12 mid-engine setup.

The diverse offerings further featured the adventurous all-terrain Huracán Sterrato and the Urus Performante, a Super SUV that secured the title of the fastest production SUV to conquer the Pikes Peak summit.

Celebrating its 60th anniversary, Lamborghini has achieved remarkable sales figures in the first half of 2023. The global delivery of 5,341 vehicles during this period exceeded last year’s H1 sales by 251 units.

The Urus remains the brand’s best-seller with 3,241 units, closely followed by the Huracán. Notably, both these models are sold out until the end of their production cycles.

These achievements come as Lamborghini embarks on the second phase of the ambitious Direzione Cor Tauri program, marked by a historic investment of 1.9 billion EUR until 2028.
