Larsa Pippen, star of The Real Housewives of Miami, has opened up about her dating life following her breakup with Marcus Jordan, shedding light on the difficulties of finding a suitable partner in Miami. During an interview on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea, Pippen revealed that despite being open to dating, she hasn’t found the right person, blaming the local dating scene for its superficiality.

“Miami is the worst place to date,” Pippen admitted. “There’s just too much eye candy here, so it makes it harder to date seriously.”

The reality star, who has been living in Miami for years, shared a recent dating mishap that further reinforced her reservations about meeting people randomly. She recounted meeting someone who seemed promising at first, but her friends quickly discovered unsettling details about him.

“I literally met someone randomly, and my friends gave him the nickname ‘Tinder Swindler,’” she shared with a laugh. “They were like, ‘He’s a total con.’” After her friends dug deeper into the man’s background, they found no online presence, which led Pippen to jokingly speculate, “He’s probably going to kill us all.”

Pippen’s experience with this so-called “Tinder Swindler” made her realize how challenging it is to trust new people. “You can’t meet random people because I take people at face value. But once my friends start researching, they find out all this stuff. It’s scary.”

She went on to explain how her dating life has been more complicated than she anticipated, especially given her family life. Pippen, who shares four children with her ex-husband, NBA legend Scottie Pippen, is cautious about introducing new people into her personal world. “It’s hard to bring people into my life and [to] meet my kids. It’s just not as easy as I thought it would be.”

Reflecting on her post-divorce life, Pippen acknowledged that she didn’t expect dating to be this difficult after her 2021 split from Scottie Pippen. “I thought when I got divorced, it wouldn’t be that hard to meet someone I could be with. But now I’m realizing, it’s not as easy as I thought.”

Despite the challenges, Pippen remains open to finding love, though it may take more time and trust-building.
