Karachi, December 5, 2024 – The latest currency exchange rates for Pakistan, as observed at the open market today, show fluctuations across various currencies. These rates, pivotal for traders, travelers, and businesses, reflect the economic dynamics at play both locally and internationally.
The US Dollar (USD) currency continues to maintain its strength, with buying and selling rates at PKR 277.45 and PKR 278.95, respectively. The UK Pound Sterling (GBP) currency remains one of the highest-valued currencies, trading at PKR 349.8 for buying and PKR 353.3 for selling. Meanwhile, the Euro (EUR) currency is observed at PKR 289.6 for buying and PKR 292.35 for selling.
Among regional currencies, the Saudi Riyal (SAR) currency and UAE Dirham (AED) currency are trading relatively stably, with buying rates at PKR 73.65 and PKR 75.35, respectively, and selling rates slightly higher. The Indian Rupee (INR) is notably weaker, trading at PKR 3.18 for buying and PKR 3.27 for selling.
The Australian Dollar (AUD) and Canadian Dollar (CAD) saw moderate trading values at PKR 178.75 and PKR 198.1 for buying, and PKR 181 and PKR 200.5 for selling, respectively. Similarly, the New Zealand Dollar (NZD) is trading at PKR 162.4 for buying and PKR 164.4 for selling.
Asian currencies such as the Chinese Yuan (CNY) and Japanese Yen (JPY) have shown stable trading patterns. The CNY is valued at PKR 37.99 for buying and PKR 38.39 for selling, while the JPY trades at PKR 1.87 for buying and PKR 1.93 for selling.
Currencies from the Gulf, including the Bahraini Dinar (BHD), Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD), and Omani Riyal (OMR), maintain their high values. The KWD leads with buying and selling rates at PKR 895 and PKR 904.5, respectively, showcasing its prominence in the foreign exchange market.
