Lahore, February 28, 2026 – The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Saturday expressed unwavering solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces against recent incursions and aggression originating from Afghanistan.

At a press conference held at the LCCI headquarters, office-bearers emphasized that national security is non-negotiable and affirmed that the entire business community stands firmly with Pakistan’s military. They stressed that Afghan territory should not be used for any acts of terrorism or aggression against Pakistan.

Pakistan Army Inflicts Heavy Losses on Terrorists

LCCI President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol highlighted the successes of the Pakistan Army, stating that 15 terrorist sectors and 53 points were targeted, resulting in the destruction of 115 tanks and armored vehicles. He paid tribute to the martyrs of the armed forces, acknowledging their sacrifices as a source of national pride.

President Saigol also accused India of backing Afghanistan in the ongoing tensions, asserting that the business community fully supports the Field Marshal and the leadership of all three armed forces.

Business Leaders Call for Unity and Peace

Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh reiterated Pakistan’s stance as a peace-loving nation while affirming that no threat to the country’s sovereignty will be tolerated. He stressed that unity between citizens and the armed forces ensures every enemy can be defeated.

Vice President Khurram Lodhi pointed out that recent terrorist attacks and Afghan-backed aggressions received foreign support and were largely linked to Afghan territory.

Other Executive Committee members, including Shauban Akhtar, Syed Salman Ali, Firdous Nisar, Rana Muhammad Nisar, Ahad Amin Malik, Sheikh Muhammad Fayyaz, Aamir Ali, and Mohsin Chaudhry, also expressed full support for Pakistan’s armed forces.

Message to the International Community

President Saigol sent a strong message to the international community, emphasizing that terrorism has no religion or border and Pakistan stands firmly with its armed forces. He praised Field Marshal Asim Munir’s leadership, saying recent operations reflect Pakistan’s commitment to defending its honor and sovereignty.

He recalled Pakistan’s humanitarian efforts after the 1979 Soviet invasion, when the country hosted over four million Afghan refugees, providing education, health services, and employment, contrasting it with Afghanistan’s support for terrorism and conspiracies against Pakistan.

Economic Stability Linked to National Security

Saigol urged the business community to understand that unity, discipline, and stability are key to defeating every threat. He stressed the connection between strong defense and a strong economy, noting that ending terrorism will foster investment, boost industry, and create employment opportunities for youth.

He affirmed that Lahore Chamber fully supports every national step of the Pakistan Armed Forces and stands with the families of martyrs, injured soldiers, and all personnel defending Pakistan’s flag.

He concluded the press conference with a prayer for the martyrs, the success of the armed forces, and for Pakistan to remain a land of peace and security.
