Lily Collins to portray Audrey Hepburn in upcoming biopic

Entertainment World

Actress Lily Collins is set to take on the challenging role of legendary actress Audrey Hepburn in a new biopic adaptation of the book Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Dawn of the Modern Woman by Sam Wasson. The project has already sparked excitement—and debate—among fans.

Sean Hepburn Ferrer, Audrey Hepburn’s son, expressed support for the film, telling Fox News Digital:

“I love Lily Collins. Sam Wasson, the book’s writer, is a good friend of mine, and I’m very happy for him. I don’t have any huge thoughts on the film as it hasn’t been made yet.”

Ferrer added that his mother might have “cringed at Dawn of the Modern Woman, but she cringed at any compliment,” noting that there are now two films in development about Hepburn, including Dinner with Audrey. He also admitted the challenge of adapting “such a historical snapshot” for the screen.

Fans have been divided over the casting. Some praised Collins as the perfect choice to embody Hepburn’s elegance and charm, while others argued that no one could truly replace the iconic actress and questioned the need to recreate her legacy on film.

Collins expressed her excitement on Instagram, writing:

“It’s with almost 10 years of development and a lifetime of admiration and adoration for Audrey that I’m finally able to share this. Honored and ecstatic don’t begin to express how I feel…”

With Hepburn’s son endorsing the project and Collins bringing her own dedication to the role, anticipation is building for what could be a landmark portrayal of one of Hollywood’s most beloved stars.
