Islamabad, July 20, 2025 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast widespread rain in various parts of Sindh, as a low-pressure system continues to develop over the region.
According to the latest update issued on Sunday, this system, combined with moist currents from the Arabian Sea, is expected to trigger rain-wind/thundershowers across multiple districts within the next 24 hours.
The PMD stated that moist air currents from the south are already penetrating the lower parts of the country, including Sindh, and will gradually extend toward the upper regions by Sunday evening or night. The low-pressure system is centered over Sindh and adjacent areas of Balochistan, while a fresh westerly wave is likely to influence upper Pakistan starting Monday.

The PMD also warned of isolated heavy rainfall in some areas, which could lead to waterlogging in low-lying regions.
